Soybean Imports From Italy Continue Solid Tone
PANAMA - Feb 22/19 - SNS -- At this point in the current calendar year continued a stronger trend, with soybean imports for Italy showed modest gains, advancing relative to the previous month in December, judging from official data from Eurostat.
Imports for the month totalled 171,071 metric tons (MT), up from 148,985 MT the prior month. This boosted imports so far during the calendar year to 1,612,991, up 17% last year.
In the month, United States was the top shipper, supplying 139,355 MT. Ukraine was the second most important supplier selling 17,464 MT, followed by Canada at 13,512 MT.
