Soybean Imports From France Reveal Weak Month

PANAMA - Feb 22/19 - SNS -- So far during this calendar year revealed a weaker performance, with soybean imports for France were slightly lower, falling compared to the previous month in December, judging from trade statistics from Eurostat.

Imports during the month reached 64,654 metric tons (MT), down from 73,077 MT the prior month. This lifted imports so far during the calendar year to 695,957, up 22% last year.

Recent trade statistics revealed United States was largest export origin, selling 58,341 MT for the month. Belgium was the second most important export origin selling 1,908 MT, followed by Germany at 1,402 MT.
