WASHINGTON - Jun 29/18 - SNS -- Area seeded to spring wheat other than durum is estimated at 13.2 million acres, up 20% from 2017 and up 5% from the previous estimate, according to the USDA's seeded area estimates for this year.
Of this total, about 12.7 million acres are Hard Red Spring wheat. Planted area in North Dakota, the largest spring wheat-producing State, is estimated at 6.60 million acres, up 23% from last year.
