WASHINGTON - Mar 29/18 - SNS -- Area seeded to Durum wheat for 2018 is estimated at 2.00 million acres, down 13% from 2017, according to the USDA's seeding intentions report for 2018.
Acreage decreases are expected in Montana and North Dakota, the two largest Durum-producing States. Durum wheat seedings were nearly complete by March 11 in Arizona.
