Rebound in France's August Exports
PARIS - Oct 9/17 - SNS -- France's field pea exports recovered in August, helped by a major shipment of peas to India, according from data available from Eurostat and Terres Univia.
Export shipments during the month totalled 87,180 metric tons (MT), up 331% from the 20,235 MT shipped the previous month, and up 19% from the 73,280 MT shipped the same month last year. So far this season, export clearances are down 12% from last year at 107,415 MT.
India was the most important destination, taking 78,900 MT. Belgium was the second most important destination at 6,535 MT, followed by Spain at 609 and Netherlands at 503 MT.
