U.S. Oat Plantings Dropping
WASHINGTON - Mar 31/16 - SNS -- Area seeded to oats for the 2016 crop year is estimated at 2.75 million acres, down 11% from 2015, according to the USDA's seeding intentions report for 2016.
If realized, United States planted acres will be the third lowest on record. Record low planted acreage is estimated in Arkansas, California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wyoming.
