USDA National Grain Review

ST. JOSEPH - Dec 31/15 - SNS -- The USDA issued its latest weekly national grain market review, covering the period through Dec 31.

WEEKLY NATIONAL GRAIN MARKET REVIEW
Compared to last week, grain and soybeans end the year mostly lower. Corn was
pressured by lack of demand.  Soybeans were lower on slow exports and expected
rain in the dry areas of Brazil.  Weekly export sales for wheat were bearish
coming in at 14.1 mb (382,400 mt) with 13.4 mb (363,600 mt) for the 2015-2016
marketing year.  Export sales for corn came in at 27.8 mb (705,200 mt) with all
for the 2015-2016 marketing year.  Sales of soybeans were listed at 21.3 mb
(579,400 mt) with 17.6 mb (478,800 mt) for the 2015-2016 marketing year.
Sorghum showed a total of 5.3 mb (134,800 mt) with all for the 2015-2016
marketing year.  Wheat was 11 cents lower to 3 cents higher.  Corn traded mostly
2-6 cents lower with Sorghum 10 cents lower.  Soybeans were 9 to 14 cents lower.
   WHEAT:  Kansas City US No 1 Hard Red Winter, ordinary protein rail bid was
1/2 cent higher from 5.38 1/2-5.63 1/2 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 Soft Red
winter rail bid was not quoted.  St. Louis truck US No 2 Soft Red Winter
terminal bid was 6 cents higher to 17 cents lower from 3.92-4.42 per bushel.
Minneapolis and Duluth US No 1 Dark Northern Spring, 14.0 to 14.5 percent
protein rail, was 6 3/4 to 11 3/4 cents lower from 6.03 1/4-6.08 1/4 per bushel.
Portland US Soft White wheat rail was not available per bushel.
   CORN:  Kansas City US No 2 rail White Corn was 6 cents lower from 3.83-3.85
per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 3 3/4 to 5 3/4 cents
lower from 3.61 3/4-3.63 3/4 per bushel.  Omaha US No 2 Yellow Corn was 6 cents
lower to 1 cent higher from 3.44-3.54 per bushel.  Chicago US No 2 Yellow Corn
was 2 3/4 to 5 3/4 cents lower from 3.47 3/4-3.73 3/4 per bushel.  Toledo US No
2 rail Yellow corn was 2 3/4 to 5 3/4 cents lower from 3.67 3/4-3.68 3/4 per
bushel.  Minneapolis US No 2 Yellow corn rail was not available per bushel.
   OATS AND BARLEY:  US 2 or Better oats, rail bid to arrive at Minneapolis 20
day was 2 1/4 cents lower at 2.72 1/4 per bushel.  US No 3 or better rail
malting Barley, 70 percent or better plump out of Minneapolis was not available
per bushel.  Portland US 2 Barley, unit trains and Barges-export was not
available.
   SORGHUM:  US No 2 yellow truck, Kansas City was 10 cents lower at 6.32 per
cwt.  Texas High Plains US No 2 yellow sorghum (prices paid or bid to the
farmer, fob elevator) was at 5.83 per cwt.
   OILSEEDS:  Minneapolis Yellow truck soybeans were 14 1/4 cents lower at 8.25
1/4 per bushel.  Illinois Processors US No 1 Yellow truck soybeans were 11 to 13
cents lower from 8.64 1/4-8.76 1/4 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 Yellow truck
soybeans were 9 3/4 to 12 3/4 cents lower at 8.69 1/4 per bushel.  Illinois 48
percent Soybean meal, processor rail bid was 4.70 to 6.70 lower from 276.30-
277.30 per ton.  Central Illinois Crude Soybean oil processor bid was 32 points
lower from 28.80-30.55 cents per pound.
