U.S. National Weekly Rice Summary

LITTLE ROCK - Nov 23/15 - SNS -- The latest weekly rice market summary for the United States was released by the USDA today.

                 (Arkansas-Louisiana-Texas-California)
                             Domestic Trend
   In the south, long and medium grain milled rice prices steady.  Parboiled
prices steady.  Second heads and Brewers prices mostly steady, instances 1.00 to
2.00 lower in Louisiana.  Rice by-products:  Rice Bran, Millfeed and ground hull
prices steady.  Market seems to be on hold for the holidays.  Don't look for any
major activity until after the New Year.
   In California, medium grain milled rice prices steady to 2.00 lower.  Second
heads and Brewers prices steady.  Rice by-products:  Rice Bran prices mostly
steady.  Ground rice hulls spot trade lightly tested, mostly all hulls already
sold.  The large supply of rice stocks on hand has softened market prices and
will continues to remain weak going into 2016 milling season.
   CME Rough Rice settlements for Friday Nov 20th, Jan 16 closed .285 higher at
12.13; Mar 16 closed .285 higher at 12.395.  US dollar index on Friday settled at
99.61.
