National Weekly Rice Summary (Arkansas-Louisiana-Texas-California) Domestic Trend In the south, long and medium grain milled rice prices steady. Parboiled, Second heads and Brewers prices steady. Rice by-products: Rice Bran, Millfeed and ground hull prices steady. As the rough rice futures continue to yo-yo, Farmers continue to hold onto rough rice for higher prices or until the market stabilizes. In California, medium grain milled rice prices steady to 1.00 lower. Second heads prices steady to 1.00 lower; Brewers prices steady to weak. Rice by- products: Rice Bran prices steady; ground hull prices not well tested. As rice stocks rise, market prices continue to remain weak for new milling season. CME Rough Rice settlements for Friday Nov 6th, Nov 15 closed .005 lower at 12.185; Jan 16 closed .015 lower at 12.44; Mar 16 closed .01 lower at 12.705. US dollar index on Friday settled at 99.15.
