Intermodal freight loadings rose by 1.5% to 192,000 units in August. In terms of weight, intermodal traffic grew 1.7% to 2.8 million MT as a result of an increase in containerized cargo shipments.

Freight traffic received from the United States fell 6.3% to 3.2 million MT as a result of a decrease in both non-intermodal and intermodal shipments.
