U.S. National Weekly Rice Summary

LITTLE ROCK - Oct 19/15 - SNS -- The latest weekly rice market summary for the United States was released by the USDA today.

                             Domestic Trend
   In the south, long and medium grain milled rice prices mostly steady.  Parboiled,
Second heads and Brewers rice prices mostly steady.  Rice by-products:  Rice Bran,
Millfeed and ground hull prices mostly steady.  Throughout the south, the field
yields are very uneven from farm to farm also resulting in mixed milling yields and
quality.  Farmers continue to hold rough rice for higher prices.
   In California, medium grain milled rice prices mostly steady.  Second heads and
Brewers rice prices mostly steady.  Rice by-products:  Rice Bran prices mostly
steady; ground hull prices not well tested.
   CME Rough Rice settlements for Friday Oct 16th, Nov 15 closed .17 lower at 12.11;
Jan 16 closed .165 lower at 12.40; Mar 16 closed .165 lower at 12.68.  US dollar
index on Friday settled at 94.73.
