USDA National Grain Review

ST. JOSEPH - Oct 16/15 - SNS -- The USDA issued its latest weekly national grain market review, covering the period through Oct 16.

WEEKLY NATIONAL GRAIN MARKET REVIEW
   Compared to last week, grain bids were mostly lower with soybeans trading
higher.  Corn was lower on harvest pressure and higher than expected ending
stocks.  Soybeans posted gains as USDA listed production estimate lower than
expected last week, along with improved export demand.  Harvest continues to
advance due to favorable weather. Corn harvest was reported at 42 percent
completed, 1 point behind the average and soybeans at 62 percent complete which
is 8 percent ahead of normal.  The National Oilseed Processors Association
soybean crush for September came in under trade estimates at 126.7 million bu.
Wheat was 9 cents lower to 1 cent higher.  Corn was mostly 7-16 cents lower.
Sorghum was 26-28 cents lower.  Soybeans were 19-35 cents higher.
   WHEAT:  Kansas City US No 1 Hard Red Winter, ordinary protein rail bid was 2
1/4 cents lower to 1 3/4 cents higher from 5.51 1/4-5.71 1/4 per bushel.  Kansas
City US No 2 Soft Red winter rail bid was not quoted.  St. Louis truck US No 2
Soft Red Winter terminal bid was 9 cents lower from 4.17-4.62 per bushel.
Minneapolis and Duluth US No 1 Dark Northern Spring, 14.0 to 14.5 percent
protein rail, was 7 1/2 cents lower from 6.33 1/2-6.43 1/2 per bushel.  Portland
US Soft White wheat rail traded 9 cents lower to 1 cent higher from 5.32 1/2-
5.59 per bushel.
   CORN:  Kansas City US No 2 rail White Corn was 16 cents lower from 3.75-
3.80 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 10 3/4 cents lower
from 3.53 1/2-3.58 1/2 cents per bushel.  Omaha US No 2 Yellow Corn was 11 to 13
cents lower from 3.45-3.48 per bushel.  Chicago US No 2 Yellow Corn was 7 3/4
cents lower to 3 1/4 cents higher from 3.60 1/2-4.00 1/2 per bushel.  Toledo US
No 2 rail Yellow corn was 15 3/4 cents lower from 3.69 1/2-3.70 1/2 per bushel.
Minneapolis US No 2 Yellow corn rail was 7 3/4 cents lower at 3.25 1/2 per
bushel.
   OATS AND BARLEY:  US 2 or Better oats, rail bid to arrive at Minneapolis 20
day was 15 3/4 cents higher from 2.44 1/2-2.89 1/2 per bushel.  US No 3 or
better rail malting Barley, 70 percent or better plump out of Minneapolis was
not available per bushel.  Portland US 2 Barley, unit trains and Barges-export
was not available.
   SORGHUM:  US No 2 yellow truck, Kansas City was 28 cents lower at 6.17 per
cwt.  Texas High Plains US No 2 yellow sorghum (prices paid or bid to the
farmer, fob elevator) was 26 cents lower from 5.91-6.22 per cwt.
   OILSEEDS:  Minneapolis Yellow truck soybeans were 35 cents higher at 8.76 1/4
per bushel.  Illinois Processors US No 1 Yellow truck soybeans were 24 cents
higher from 8.95 1/4-9.10 1/4 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 Yellow truck
soybeans were 19 cents higher at 9.00 1/4 per bushel.  Illinois 48 percent
Soybean meal, processor rail bid was 1.70 to 7.70 higher from 334.00-336.00 per
ton.  Central Illinois Crude Soybean oil processor bid was 9 points lower to 41
points higher from 26.83-27.83 cents per pound.
