ST. JOSEPH - Sep 11/15 - SNS -- The USDA issued its latest weekly national grain market review, covering the period through Sep 11.
WEEKLY NATIONAL GRAIN MARKET REVIEW Compared to last week, grain and soybean bids were mostly higher. Sharp gains early in the week in the Stock Market as well as gains in most commodity markets lend support. A lower dollar also helped grains into positive territory. Harvest is starting to appear in parts of the corn-belt. However, in a few weeks it should be in full swing. Parts of the Midwest saw heavy rain with flooding in low areas. Wheat was mostly 8-3 cents higher. Corn was mostly 6-12 cents higher. Sorghum was 21-23 cents higher. Soybeans were 4-9 cents higher with KC 10 cents lower. WHEAT: Kansas City US No 1 Hard Red Winter, ordinary protein rail bid was 9 3/4 cents higher from 5.28 1/2-5.42 1/2 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 Soft Red winter rail bid was not quoted. St. Louis truck US No 2 Soft Red Winter terminal bid was 13 cents higher from 3.98-4.38 per bushel. Minneapolis and Duluth US No 1 Dark Northern Spring, 14.0 to 14.5 percent protein rail, was 1 1/2 cents lower to 8 1/2 cents higher from 5.78 3/4-5.93 3/4 per bushel. Portland US Soft White wheat rail was steady to 12 3/ cents higher from 5.33- 5.35 per bushel. CORN: Kansas City US No 2 rail White Corn was 6 to 7 cents higher from 3.67- 3.75 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 9 3/4 to 12 3/4 cents higher from 3.59 1/4-3.61 1/4 cents per bushel. Omaha US No 2 Yellow Corn was 8 to 10 cents higher from 3.52-3.56 per bushel. Chicago US No 2 Yellow Corn was 11 1/4 cents lower to 12 3/4 cents higher from 3.56 1/4-3.59 1/4 per bushel. Toledo US No 2 rail Yellow corn was 12 3/4 cents higher from 3.73 1/4-3.76 1/4 per bushel. Minneapolis US No 2 Yellow corn rail was 12 3/4 cents higher at 3.19 1/4 per bushel. OATS AND BARLEY: US 2 or Better oats, rail bid to arrive at Minneapolis 20 day was 9 1/4 cents higher at 2.87 per bushel. US No 3 or better rail malting Barley, 70 percent or better plump out of Minneapolis was not available per bushel. Portland US 2 Barley, unit trains and Barges-export was not available. SORGHUM: US No 2 yellow truck, Kansas City was 22 to 23 cents higher from 5.97-6.06 cwt. Texas High Plains US No 2 yellow sorghum (prices paid or bid to the farmer, fob elevator) was 21 to 23 cents higher from 5.79-6.31 per cwt. OILSEEDS: Minneapolis Yellow truck soybeans were 4 1/2 cents higher at 8.39 per bushel. Illinois Processors US No 1 Yellow truck soybeans were 4 1/2 to 9 1/2 cents higher from 8.84-9.09 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 Yellow truck soybeans were 10 1/2 cents lower at 8.94 per bushel. Illinois 48 percent Soybean meal, processor rail bid was 5.50 to 6.50 lower from 328.00-336.00 per ton.
