USDA National Grain Review

ST. JOSEPH - Aug 7/15 - SNS -- The USDA issued its latest weekly national grain market review, covering the period through Aug 7.

WEEKLY NATIONAL GRAIN MARKET REVIEW
   Grain and soybean bids were mixed for the week.  Corn and soybeans saw
pressure from favorable growing weather and export cancellations.  However,
lower private yield estimates lend some support to corn.  Wheat saw declines on
a higher US dollar and plentiful global supplies.  Wheat was 33 cents lower to
18 cents higher.  Corn was 4 cents lower to 13 cents higher.  Sorghum was 6-15
cents lower.  Soybeans were 11-32 cents lower.
   WHEAT:  Kansas City US No 1 Hard Red Winter, ordinary protein rail bid was 3
1/2-18 1/2 cents higher from 5.69 1/2-5.99 1/2 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2
Soft Red winter rail bid was not quoted.  St. Louis truck US No 2 Soft Red
Winter terminal bid was 11 cents higher from 4.42-4.92 per bushel.  Minneapolis
and Duluth US No 1 Dark Northern Spring, 14.0 to 14.5 percent protein rail, was
8 1/4-33 1/4 cents lower from 6.08 1/2-6.23 1/2 per bushel.  Portland US Soft
White wheat rail was 5.47-5.62 per bushel.
   CORN:  Kansas City US No 2 rail White Corn was 10-13 cents higher from  3.69
-3.75 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 4 1/2 cents lower
from 3.64 3/4-3.65 3/4 per bushel.  Omaha US No 2 Yellow Corn was 1 cent lower
to 2 cents higher from 3.57-3.62 per bushel.  Chicago US No 2 Yellow Corn was 1
1/2-2 1/2 cents lower from 3.62 3/4-3.77 3/4 per bushel.  Toledo US No 2 rail
Yellow corn was 1/2 cent higher to 1 1/2 lower at 3.74 3/4 per bushel.
Minneapolis US No 2 Yellow corn rail was 2 1/2 cents lower at 3.37 3/4 per
bushel.
   OATS AND BARLEY:  US 2 or Better oats, rail bid to arrive at Minneapolis 20
day was 1 cent higher from 2.56-2.91 per bushel.  US No 3 or better rail malting
Barley, 70 percent or better plump out of Minneapolis was not available per
bushel.  Portland US 2 Barley, unit trains and Barges-export was not available.
   SORGHUM:  US No 2 yellow truck, Kansas City was 14-15 cents lower from 6.71-
6.79 per cwt.  Texas High Plains US No 2 yellow sorghum (prices paid or bid
to the farmer, fob elevator) was 6 to 7 cents lower from 6.45-6.69 per cwt.
   OILSEEDS:  Minneapolis Yellow truck soybeans were 32 cents lower at 9.28 1/4
per bushel.  Illinois Processors US No 1 Yellow truck soybeans were 11-12 cents
lower from 10.16 1/4-10.33 1/4 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 Yellow truck
soybeans were 15 cents lower at 9.93 1/4 per bushel.  Illinois 48 percent
Soybean meal, processor rail bid was 7.00-12.00 lower from 372.10-375.10 per
ton.  Central Illinois Crude Soybean oil processor bid was 12 points lower to 38
points higher from 29.66-30.91 cents per pound.
