U.S. National Weekly Rice Summary

LITTLE ROCK - Jan 5/15 - SNS -- The latest weekly rice market summary for the United States was released by the USDA today.

                             Domestic Trend
   In the south, long grain milled rice prices steady to 1.00 lower.  Medium grain
milled rice steady.  Parboiled prices steady.  Seconds heads prices steady to 2.00
lower.  Brewers prices steady to 1.50 lower.  Rice by-products:  rice bran prices
steady in Arkansas, however Texas and Louisiana trading mostly 20.00 lower; millfeed
prices mostly steady; ground hulls prices mostly 15.00 lower.
   In California, medium and short grain rice prices steady.  Second heads and
Brewers prices steady.  Rice by-products:  rice bran and hull prices steady.
CME Rough Rice settlements for Friday Jan 2nd, Jan closed .20 lower at 11.29; Mar
closed .205 lower at 11.545; May closed .20 lower at 11.80.  US dollar index on
Friday settled at 91.45.
