July Egg Output Rises 4 Percent

United States egg production totaled 8.29 billion during July 2014, up

4 percent from last year. Production included 7.19 billion table eggs, and

1.10 billion hatching eggs, of which 1.03 billion were broiler-type and 74

million were egg-type. The total number of layers during July 2014 averaged
