Barley Stocks Inch Upward
WASHINGTON - Jun 30/14 - SNS -- Old crop barley stocks in all positions on June 1, 2014 totaled 82.0 million bushels, up 2% from June 1, 2013, according to the USDA's latest stocks in all positions report.
On-farm stocks are estimated at 19.1 million bushels, 21% above a year ago. Off-farm stocks, at 62.9 million bushels, are 3% below June 1, 2013.
The March - May 2014 indicated disappearance is 39.5 million bushels, 8% above the same period a year earlier.
