Oat Inventory Down One Third
WASHINGTON - Jun 30/14 - SNS -- Old crop oats stored in all positions on June 1, 2014 totaled 24.7 million bushels, 32% below the stocks on June 1, 2013, according to the USDA's latest stocks in all positions report.
Of the total stocks on hand, 9.71 million bushels are stored on farms, 15% lower than a year ago. Off-farm stocks totaled 15.0 million bushels, 40% below the previous year.
Indicated disappearance during March - May 2014 totaled 10.4 million bushels, compared with 16.3 million bushels during the same period a year ago.
