U.S. National Weekly Rice Summary

LITTLE ROCK - Jun 30/14 - SNS -- The latest weekly rice market summary for the United States was released by the USDA today.

                       National Weekly Rice Summary

                             Domestic Trend
   In the south, long and medium grain rice prices mostly steady; parboiled prices
mostly steady; second heads steady; brewers steady.  Rice by-products:  rice bran
prices mostly steady; rice millfeed not fully established; hulls traded steady on a
limited test.  Rough rice old crop prices remain steady on limited available current
sales.
   In California, medium and short grain milled rice prices steady to 1.00 lower;
second heads and brewers mostly steady.  Rice by-products:  rice bran prices steady;
hulls steady.
   Majority of producers and mills continue to focus on the progress and current news
about new crop rice.  Mills in the south continue to process old crop rice, however
smaller mills may shut down until new crop harvest.  On the CME Rough Rice
settlements for Friday June 27th, July 2014 futures closed .14 lower at 14.59.
September 2014 closed .095 higher at 13.555.  November 2014 closed .08 higher at
13.725.  US dollar index on Friday Jun 27th settled at 80.02.
