USDA National Grain Review

ST. JOSEPH - Jun 27/14 - SNS -- The USDA issued its latest weekly national grain market review, covering the period through Jun 27.

WEEKLY NATIONAL GRAIN MARKET REVIEW
   Compared to last week, grain bids were lower with soybeans trading higher.
  Soybeans closed with moderate gains on improved basis and good export sales.
Corn posted losses due to favorable growing weather for most of the Midwest.
Overall crop remain in good to excellent conditions.  The upper corn-belt is
experiencing flooding with major rivers in the area cresting later in the week.
Wheat was also lower in reaction to the lower corn.  However, delays in harvest
due to rain limited the losses.  HRW wheat harvest is at 33 percent complete.
Corn had export sales totaling 21.8 mb with 12.7 mb for 2013-2014 marketing
year.  Soybeans had bullish export sales totaling 28.5 mb with 11.7 mb for 2013-
2014 marketing year.  Wheat had export sales of 13.2 mb for the 2014-2015
marketing year.  Wheat was mostly 1-11 cents lower with Minneapolis 51 cents to
1.01 lower.  Corn was 7-14 cents lower.  Sorghum was 13-16 cents lower.
Soybeans were 16-19 cents higher.
   WHEAT:  Kansas City US No 1 Hard Red Winter, ordinary protein rail bid was 9
1/2 cents lower from 8.29 3/4-8.39 3/4 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 Soft Red
winter rail bid was not quoted.  St. Louis truck US No 2 Soft Red Winter
terminal bid was 4 cents higher at 6.07 per bushel.  Minneapolis and Duluth US
No 1 Dark Northern Spring, 14.0 to 14.5 percent protein rail, was 51 1/4 cents
to 1.01 1/4 lower at 9.26 3/4 per bushel.  Portland US Soft White wheat rail was
1 1/4 to 11 1/4 cents lower from 6.72 1/4-7.17 1/4 per bushel.
   CORN:  Kansas City US No 2 rail White Corn was 7 cents lower to 3 cents
higher from 4.39-4.41 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 7
3/4 to 9 3/4 cents lower from 4.50 3/4-4.52 3/4 per bushel.  Omaha US No 2 truck
Yellow Corn was 13 to 14 cents lower from 4.36-4.37 per bushel.  Chicago US No 2
Yellow Corn was 7 3/4 to 10 3/4 cents lower from 4.30 3/4-4.57 3/4 per bushel.
Toledo US No 2 rail Yellow corn was 7 3/4 cents lower from 4.28 3/4-4.29 3/4 per
bushel.  Minneapolis US No 2 Yellow corn rail was 9 3/4 cents lower at 4.20 3/4
per bushel.
   OATS AND BARLEY:  US 2 or Better oats, rail bid to arrive at Minneapolis 20
day was 1 to 11 cents lower from 3.76 1/4-3.86 1/4 per bushel.  US No 3 or
better rail malting Barley, 70 percent or better plump out of Minneapolis was 15
cents lower at 5.60 per bushel.  Portland US 2 Barley, unit trains and Barges-
export was not available.
   SORGHUM:  US No 2 yellow truck, Kansas City was 13 cents lower at 7.91 per
cwt.  Texas High Plains US No 2 yellow sorghum (prices paid or bid to the
farmer, fob elevator) was 15 to 16 cents lower from 7.62-7.64 per cwt.
   OILSEEDS:  Minneapolis Yellow truck soybeans were 16 1/4 cents higher at
14.14 per bushel.  Illinois Processors US No 1 Yellow truck soybeans were 17 3/4
to 19 3/4 cents higher from 14.56 3/4-14.91 3/4 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2
Yellow truck soybeans were 17 3/4 cents higher at 14.66 3/4 per bushel.  Central
Illinois 48 percent Soybean meal, processor rail bid was 16.30 to 18.30 higher
from 496.50-500.50 per ton.  Central Illinois Crude Soybean oil processor bid
was 10 points lower from 40.76-41.01 cents per pound.
