U.S. National Weekly Rice Summary

LITTLE ROCK - Jun 23/14 - SNS -- The latest weekly rice market summary for the United States was released by the USDA today.

                       National Weekly Rice Summary

                             Domestic Trend
   In the south, long and medium grain rice prices steady; parboiled prices steady;
second heads steady; brewers steady.  Rice by-products:  rice bran prices mostly
steady; rice millfeed not fully established; hulls traded on a limited test,
however Arkansas sold 10.00 higher.  Rough rice old crop prices remain steady on
limited available current sales.
   In California, medium and short grain milled rice prices steady; second heads
and brewers steady to weak.  Rice by-products:  rice bran prices steady; hulls
steady.
   Majority of producers and mills are focused on the progress and current news
about new crop rice.  On the CME settlements for Friday June 20th, Rough Rice July
2014 futures closed .055 lower at 14.635.  September 2014 closed .12 lower at
13.755.  November 2014 closed .11 lower at 13.955.  US dollar index on Friday Jun
20th settled at 80.33.
