National Weekly Rice Summary (Arkansas-Louisiana-Texas-California) Domestic Trend In the south, long and medium grain rice prices steady; parboiled prices steady; second heads steady; brewers steady. Rice by-products: rice bran mostly steady, however instances in Arkansas and Texas prices 5.00 to 15.00 higher; rice millfeed mostly steady, however Arkansas prices 5.00 higher; hulls mostly steady to 5.00 higher with limited available sales. Rough rice prices steady. In California, medium and short grain milled rice prices steady; second heads steady; brewers steady. Rice by-products: rice bran prices steady; hulls steady. On the CME settlements for Friday May 30th, Rough Rice July 2014 futures closed .04 lower at 14.985. September 2014 closed .015 lower at 14.375. November 2014 closed .025 lower at 14.485.
