U.S. Barley Inventory Rises 7%
WASHINGTON - Jan 10/14 - SNS -- Barley stored in all positions on December 1, 2013 totaled 170 million bushels, up 7% from December 1, 2012, according to the USDA's latest stocks in all positions report.
On-farm stocks are estimated at 81.3 million bushels, 12% above a year ago. Off-farm stocks, at 88.4 million bushels, are 3% above December 2012.
The September - November 2013 indicated disappearance is 26.3 million bushels, 32% below the same period a year earlier.
