U.S. Oat Stocks Sink 34%
WASHINGTON - Jan 10/14 - SNS -- Oats stored in all positions on December 1, 2013 totaled 48.0 million bushels, 34% below the stocks on December 1, 2012, according to the USDA's latest stocks in all positions report.
Of the total stocks on hand, 25.6 million bushels are stored on farms, down 2% from a year ago. Off-farm stocks totaled 22.4 million bushels, down 52% from the previous year.
Indicated disappearance during September - November 2013 totaled 15.5 million bushels.
