Illinois Grain Prices at Country Elevators This is Tuesday's report of the grain prices and trends prepared by the USDA and the Illinois Department of Agriculture. Illinois country grain prices were mixed on Tuesday afternoon, with wheat and corn higher and soybeans lower. Wheat prices drew strength from the USDA's Crop Conditions and Supply Demand reports. For the U.S. crop, wheat placed 64% of the crop in the Good to Excellent category, down 7% from last week. The USDA estimated ending stocks for wheat in 2006-2007 crop year at 422 million bushels, the lowest since the 1995-1996 crop year. In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids 5 to 9 cents higher at 3.30-3.42. Soybean bids were 5 to 8 cents lower at 6.87-7.00. In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids mostly 5 to 7 cents higher at 3.38-3.47. Soybean bids were down 4 to 8 cents at 6.97-7.08. In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 5 to 8 cents higher at 3.40-3.55. Soybean bids were 6 to 7 cents lower at 6.95-7.08. Wheat bids were up 10 to 14 cents at 3.86-3.99. Milo bids were 3 to 5 cents higher at 3.64-3.71.
