WASHINGTON - Jul 10/20 - SNS -- This year's U.S. durum wheat harvest is expected to reach 55.6 million bushels, up 3% from 2019, according to the USDA's latest crop production estimates.
The United States yield is forecast at 38.5 bushels per acre, down 7.2 bushels from last year. Area expected to be harvested for grain or seed totals 1.44 million acres, unchanged from the Acreage report released on June 30, 2020, but up 23% from 2019.
