Yellow Pea Exports From Canada Sustain Firm Performance
PANAMA - Jul 3/19 - SNS -- Exports of yellow peas from Canada jumped compared to the previous month in May, trade data from Statistics Canada reveals.
Exports during the month totalled 286,530 metric tons (MT), up from 237,118 MT the previous month. This lifted export sales so far during the marketing year to 2,078,003, up 12% last year.
For the month, China was the most important buyer, taking 166,790 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important consumer buying 89,700 MT, followed by India at 14,511 MT.
