Soybean Imports By Belgium Open On Firm Tone
PANAMA - Apr 17/19 - SNS -- So far during the calendar year with their a stronger tendency, with soybean imports for Belgium rocketed compared to the previous month in February, judging from available data from Eurostat.
Imports reached 129,860 metric tons (MT) during the month, up 220% from the 40,599 MT exported the previous month. Imports so far total 170,458 MT, versus 63,820 in the same period the previous calendar year.
United States was the biggest supplier, shipping 123,496 MT. India was the second most important origin selling 4,085 MT, followed by Canada at 1,938 MT.
