Soybean Imports By Portugal Post A Strong Result

PANAMA - Apr 17/19 - SNS -- Portugal's imports of soybeans in February made modest gains, rising compared to the previous month, judging from data from Eurostat.

Imports totalled 82,752 metric tons (MT) for the month, up 2% from the 80,861 MT exported the previous month. Imports so far total 163,614 MT, versus 169,334 during the previous calendar year.

The most recent trade data revealed United States was most important export origin, shipping 72,904 MT. Germany was the second most important origin selling 9,120 MT, followed by Spain at 702 MT.
