Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 22/19 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure is over the western New South Wales while another trough is over the western Tasman Sea and weakening. The inland trough is forecast to drift to the central west on Saturday, then to the central north of the state on Sunday in association with a weak front slipping to the south of the state. Early on Monday, a strong front is expected to reach the southwestern corner of the state, then continue through southern districts during the day and the north on Tuesday. In the wake of the front, a high pressure ridge will extend across the state from a high to the west. This ridge will quickly recede to the Tasman Sea as the remnants of Tropical Cyclone Trevor (currently over far northern Queensland) makes its way to the southwestern Queensland. There remains a high level of uncertainty about the movement of Trevor which will affect the forecast conditions across the north next week.
