French Pea Sales Slump in May
PARIS - Aug 12/16 - SNS -- France's field pea exports finished the 2015-16 marketing year on a strong note, with shipments jumping over those posted in May, according to data compiled by Terres Univia.
Export shipments during June totalled 24,635 metric tons (MT), up 23% from the 19,955 MT shipped the previous month, but down 27% from the 33,720 MT shipped the same month last year.
This lifted exports for the 2015-16 season to 322,030 MT, compared to 297,395 MT during the previous marketing year.
