MELBOURNE - Feb 5/16 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high south of Mount Gambier will move slowly eastwards to be over the southern Tasman Sea by Saturday night. A new high will form south of the Bight on Sunday and remain near stationary through the early part of next week. Forecast for the rest of FridayFine apart from the chance of a shower over the North East Pastoral district northeast of about Marree. A cool to mild evening with mainly moderate southeasterly winds, fresher about the northern Spencer Gulf area until later this evening.Saturday 6 FebruaryFine apart from the chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm northeast of about Oodnadatta to Leigh Creek. Mild about the southern coasts, warm to hot elsewhere. Mainly moderate southeast to easterly winds.Sunday 7 FebruaryFine. Warm about southern and western coasts, grading to hot to very hot inland. Mainly light to moderate southeast to easterly winds.Monday 8 FebruaryFine. Warm about southern and western coasts, grading to hot to very hot in the north. Mainly moderate southeast to easterly winds.Tuesday 9 February Fine. Mild to warm about the coasts and hot to very hot inland. Light to moderate southeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Sunday are expected to be less than 1 mm, apart from in thunderstorms where 1 to 5 mm may be possible. Wednesday until FridayFine apart from a chance of a shower about the southern coasts on Thursday and Friday. Remaining mild to warm about the agricultural areas and warm to hot in the north.
