Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 26/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A ridge of high pressure will extend across Victoria on Friday as a high pressure system moves northeastwards towards the Bight. The high will then drift eastwards to reach Victoria later on Sunday while weak cold fronts will pass well to the south of the State. On Monday the weakening high will move to the east of the State while a strengthening cold front and low pressure trough will approach western Victoria at night.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers over southern and mountain areas mostly clearing this evening. Possible hail near the coast. Fine over the north. Fresh to strong west to southwesterly winds moderating from the west.Friday 27 NovemberFine in the north and east. Isolated showers elsewhere, mainly about the coast. A cool to mild day with light to moderate southwest to southerly winds.Fire Danger -  Moderate to High.Saturday 28 NovemberFine apart from isolated showers near the coast. A mild to warm day, mostly sunny in the north. Light to moderate westerly winds.Sunday 29 NovemberIsolated showers in the south contracting eastwards later and clearing. Fine over the northern plains. A mild to warm day with a light southerly wind and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Monday 30 NovemberFine apart from isolated showers in the far southwest later. A warm and mostly sunny day with a light wind tending northerly and milder afternoon coastal seabreezes.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EDT Friday.Product IDV10310
