ST. JOSEPH - Sep 25/15 - SNS -- The USDA issued its latest weekly national grain market review, covering the period through Sep 25.
WEEKLY NATIONAL GRAIN MARKET REVIEW Compared to last week, grain and soybean bids were mixed. Corn and soybean bids saw a boost from good export sales. However, sharp losses in the stock market and favorable harvest pressure across the Midwest kept bids in negative territory. Harvest continues to pick up with better than expected yields reported. Export sales for corn came in at 16.8 mb (426,300 mt) with all for the 2015-2016 marketing year. Soybeans export sales were listed at 48.4 mb (1,316,000 mt) with all for the 2015-2016 marketing year. Weekly export sales for all wheat were reported at 11.5 mb (313,700 mt) with 10.4 mb (282,800 mt) for the 2015-2016 marketing year. Wheat was 21 cents lower to 51 cents higher. Corn was 13 cents lower to 3 cents higher. Sorghum was 24 cents lower to 13 cents higher. Soybeans were 16-31 cents lower. WHEAT: Kansas City US No 1 Hard Red Winter, ordinary protein rail bid was 8 3/4 to 10 3/4 cents higher from 5.36-5.60 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 Soft Red winter rail bid was not quoted. St. Louis truck US No 2 Soft Red Winter terminal bid was 16 to 51 cents higher from 4.12-4.57 per bushel. Minneapolis and Duluth US No 1 Dark Northern Spring, 14.0 to 14.5 percent protein rail, was 1 1/4 to 21 1/4 cents lower from 5.94-6.34 per bushel. Portland US Soft White wheat rail was not available per bushel. CORN: Kansas City US No 2 rail White Corn was steady to 2 cents lower from 3.79-3.84 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 1 3/4 cents higher from 3.61 1/2-3.64 1/2 cents per bushel. Omaha US No 2 Yellow Corn was steady to 2 cents higher from 3.52-3.60 per bushel. Chicago US No 2 Yellow Corn was 3 1/4 to 13 1/4 cents lower from 3.58 1/2-3.79 1/2 per bushel. Toledo US No 2 rail Yellow corn was 1 3/4 to 3 3/4 cents higher from 3.66 1/2-3.75 1/2 per bushel. Minneapolis US No 2 Yellow corn rail was 1 3/4 cents higher at 3.21 1/2 per bushel. OATS AND BARLEY: US 2 or Better oats, rail bid to arrive at Minneapolis 20 day was 5 1/2 to 20 1/2 cents lower from 2.26 1/4-2.81 1/4 per bushel. US No 3 or better rail malting Barley, 70 percent or better plump out of Minneapolis was steady at 4.95 per bushel. Portland US 2 Barley, unit trains and Barges-export was not available. SORGHUM: US No 2 yellow truck, Kansas City was 15 to 24 cents lower from 5.92-6.01 per cwt. Texas High Plains US No 2 yellow sorghum (prices paid or bid to the farmer, fob elevator) was 4 to 13 cents higher from 6.02-6.31 per cwt. OILSEEDS: Minneapolis Yellow truck soybeans were 22 1/2 cents lower at 8.27 1/2 per bushel. Illinois Processors US No 1 Yellow truck soybeans were 31 1/2 cents lower from 8.58-8.78 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 Yellow truck soybeans were 16 1/2 cents lower at 8.78 per bushel. Illinois 48 percent Soybean meal, processor rail bid was 7.80 to 8.80 lower from 324.40-327.40 per ton.
