Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 3/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred over the eastern states is moving slowly eastwards and weakening. A weak front will move over the south on Monday, with an associated low pressure system to the south. A weak high pressure ridge will move over the State on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayCold at first with frost over and to the east of the Mount Lofty and Flinders Ranges. Possible early fog patches. Slight chance of showers south of about Port Lincoln to Bordertown, increasing to a high chance south of about Mount Gambier. A cool day grading to mild in the far west with mostly light winds.Sunday 5 JulyCold at first with frost over and to the east of the Mount Lofty and Flinders Ranges. Slight chance of showers developing south of about Elliston to Naracoorte during the afternoon or evening. A cool day grading to mild in the west with light to moderate northwesterly winds in the south, tending light and variable in the north.Monday 6 JulyEarly frost patches over the North East Pastoral. The slight chance of showers over the agricultural area and West Coast district, grading to medium chance over the southern agricultural area, with a high to very high chance over southern coasts and the southern Mount Lofty Ranges. The chance of a thunderstorm about the Lower South East coast in the morning. Showers easing late afternoon. Cool grading to mild in the far north. Light winds in the north, with light to moderate northwesterly to southwesterly winds over the remainder, increasing to moderate to fresh in the south.Tuesday 7 July
Early frost patches over the North East Pastoral. The slight chance of showers over the agricultural area, grading to medium chance over the southern agricultural area. Cool grading to mild in the far north. Mainly light winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Tuesday are expected to be generally less than 1 mm over the northern agricultural area, increasing to 1 to 5 mm about the southern agricultural area. Falls of 5 to 15 mm are possible about southern coasts, the southern Mount Lofty Ranges and the Lower South East.
Wednesday until FridayFine on Wednesday. The slight chance of showers extending from the west on Thursday, to be over most districts on Friday, with showers becoming more likely near southern and western coasts.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Saturday.Product IDS10033
