U.S. National Weekly Rice Summary

LITTLE ROCK - Jun 29/15 - SNS -- The latest weekly rice market summary for the United States was released by the USDA today.

                             Domestic Trend
   In the south, long grain milled rice prices mostly steady, instances 1.00 lower in
Louisiana.  Medium grain remains steady.  Parboiled, Second Heads and Brewers rice
prices steady.  Rice by-products:  Rice Bran and Millfeed prices steady to weak.
Ground hulls not well tested.  Domestic demand remains good as mills continue
processing regular customer orders.  As of Jun 28, NASS reporting new crop rice
condition as mostly fair to good with AR 5%, LA 51%, MS 17% and Texas 26% currently
headed out.
   In California, medium grain milled rice prices remain firm.  Second heads and
Brewers rice prices steady to weak.  Rice by-products:  Rice Bran prices steady;
ground hull prices not well tested.  Mills continue processing regular customer
orders.  However, mills will need to, more frequently, reevaluate their rough rice
supplies as old crop inventories are depleted.  As of Jun 28, NASS reporting
California new crop rice condition as mostly good to excellent with 15% headed out.
   CME Rough Rice settlements for Friday Jun 26th, Jly 15 closed .085 lower at 9.96;
Sep 15 closed .08 lower at 10.245; Nov 15 closed .08 lower at 10.515.  US dollar
index on Friday settled at 95.40.  NASS Rice stocks report will be release on June
30.
