LITTLE ROCK - May 26/15 - SNS -- The latest weekly rice market summary for the United States was released by the USDA today.
National Weekly Rice Summary (Arkansas-Louisiana-Texas-California) Domestic Trend In the south, long and medium grain milled rice prices steady. Parboiled, Second heads and Brewers rice prices steady. Rice by-products: rice bran, millfeed and ground hull prices steady to weak. Demand remains good as mills continue processing customers' orders. In California, medium grain milled rice prices steady to 1.00 higher with full advance on the low side. Second heads and Brewers rice prices steady to 2.00 higher with full advance on low side. Rice by-products: rice bran prices 5.00 to 15.00 lower; ground hull prices not fully established. Rice mills continue milling and processing regular customers orders at a steady pace. Price increase mainly due to availably supply of old crop paddy rice and new crop planted acres. CME Rough Rice settlements for Friday May 22nd, Jly 15 closed .185 lower at 9.43; Sep 15 closed .175 lower at 9.705; Nov 15 closed .175 lower at 9.96. US dollar index on Friday settled at 96.01.
