Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 28/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high south of the Bight will move quickly eastwards to be over the Tasman Sea on Monday. A series of weak fronts will pass to the south of the State during the week, with a ridge of high pressure being maintained over the southern part of the State.
Forecast for the rest of SundayThe slight chance of showers about southern coasts, clearing around the middle of the day. Fine for the remainder apart from the slight chance of rain west of Nullarbor late evening. Cool to mild in the south, warm to hot in the north. Moderate to fresh south to southeasterly winds.Monday 2 MarchThe slight chance of rain areas developing over Eyre Peninsula, and the North West Pastoral and West Coast districts, more likely west of Ceduna. Fine over the remainder. Cool to mild in the south, warm to hot in the north. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds.Tuesday 3 MarchPatchy rain over the Flinders and Northwest Pastoral districts, more likely west of Tarcoola, but easing and contracting to the northwest during the day. A slight chance of showers about southern coasts clearing in the afternoon. Cool to mild in the south, warm to hot in the north. Moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 4 March
The slight chance of showers developing over the southern agricultural area, more likely in the Lower South East. The slight chance of showers over the North West Pastoral west of Coober Pedy. Cool to mild in the south, warm to hot in the north. Moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Wednesday are expected to be generally less than 2 mm, with possible falls of 2 to 5 mm in the Lower South East and West Coast district. Isolated falls of 10 to 20 mm are possible in areas of rain and thunderstorms west of Ceduna to Ernabella.
Thursday until SaturdayFine apart from the slight chance of showers near the coasts and Mount Lofty Ranges. Cool in the south grading to warm to hot in the far north. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Sunday.Product IDS10033
