MELBOURNE - Feb 24/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A trough over western New South Wales is bringing unsettled conditions to some inland districts, and will remain a feature in the region during the next day or two. Meanwhile, a second trough moving along the coast should stall and weaken on Wednesday as a high south of the Bight shifts east. A fairly weak pressure pattern is expected during the latter part of the week, before the next trough and cold front affect New South Wales on the weekend. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayShowers in the southeast and along the coast, The chance of showers and thunderstorms about the ranges, and the central and southwest slopes, Fine elsewhere. South to southeasterly winds, fresh at times in the south and west.Wednesday 25 FebruaryThe chance of showers from the slopes and plains through to the coast, most likely near the coast in the morning. Fine and generally sunny in the far west. Hot across the northern inland. Southwesterly winds in the west. East to southeasterly winds in the east, tending mostly light and variable inland.Thursday 26 FebruaryThe chance of showers in the northeast, more likely on the tablelands, and about the southern and central coasts. Possible afternoon thunderstorms in the northeast. Find and mostly sunny in the west. Hot across the northern inland. Northwest to southwesterly winds in the west. Southeast to northeasterly winds near the coast.Friday 27 FebruaryThe chance of showers in the northeast, more likely on the tablelands, and about the southern and central coasts. Possible afternoon thunderstorms about the northern tablelands. Fine west of the Divide. Hot across the northern inland.
