Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 19/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the south Tasman Sea will be reinforced on Saturday by another high passing south of Tasmania. A low pressure trough will approach southwestern Victoria Sunday night before linking with a cold front to the south and crossing the remainder of the State during Monday. Another high pressure system will develop south of the Bight on Monday night before moving towards Tasmania on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayMorning fog patches in the south with local drizzle on the coastal fringe. A fine mainly sunny afternoon except for the chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms over the central and eastern ranges. A hot day in the north with light winds. Mild to warm and humid in the south with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds and fresh afternoon coastal sea breezes.Fire Danger -  Generally HighSaturday 21 FebruaryFine apart from early drizzle near the coast. Generally warm to hot with light northerly winds inland, but a little milder near the coast with afternoon seabreezes.Sunday 22 FebruaryFine apart from late thundery showers in the southwest. A warm to hot day with a moderate to locally fresh northerly windMonday 23 FebruaryIsolated showers and thunderstorms contracting to the east.
