Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 19/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system southeast of Tasmania will drift to the south Tasman Sea tonight and become slow-moving. A low pressure trough will approach southwestern Victoria Sunday night before moving through the remainder of the State during Monday. Another high pressure system will develop south of the Bight on Monday night before moving towards Tasmania on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers and thunderstorms, mainly in central and eastern areas. Fine over the west. Generally light winds inland and coastal seabreezes.Friday 20 FebruaryFine apart from isolated showers and thunderstorms over the eastern ranges and possible early drizzle near the coast. A warm day with light winds inland and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Fire Danger -  Generally HighSaturday 21 FebruaryFine apart from early drizzle near the coast. Generally warm to hot with light northerly winds inland, but a little milder near the coast with afternoon seabreezes.Sunday 22 FebruaryFine apart from late thundery showers in the southwest. A warm to hot day with a moderate to locally fresh northerly windMonday 23 FebruaryIsolated showers and thunderstorms contracting to the east. Warm to hot in the north and east but a milder southwesterly change extending from the southwest during the day to affect most areas except for the far northeast.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EDT Friday.Product IDV10310
