Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 18/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1025 hPa southeast of the Bight will move slowly east to be centred over the Tasman Sea by Thursday. A trough of low pressure will develop over far western parts of the State on Friday then move east over the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated thundery showers over the east of the Northeast Pastoral district and far north of the Flinders district. Light to moderate southeasterly winds, fresh about the ranges in the late evening. Fresh afternoon coastal sea breezes.Thursday 19 FebruaryFine apart from the slight chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms over eastern parts of the North East Pastoral. Warm about southern coasts, hot over the remainder. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds and afternoon sea breezes. Winds tending moderate to fresh southerly in the far west during the afternoon.Friday 20 FebruaryDry. Hot with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, fresh at times in the west. Moderate afternoon coastal sea breezes.Saturday 21 FebruarySlight chance of afternoon showers over the West Coast and western parts of Eyre Peninsula. Warm to hot about southern and western coasts, otherwise hot to very hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a milder southerly change in the far west.Sunday 22 February
Slight chance of showers developing over the agricultural area south of about Keith to Adelaide to Wudinna. Dry and hot to very hot ahead of a milder southerly change in the west extending over southern coasts in the afternoon and evening.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Sunday are expected to be up to 10 mm over the North East Pastoral associated with thunderstorms.
Monday until WednesdayShowers clearing from the agricultural area on Monday. The slight chance of showers developing in the far northwest on Monday then clearing Tuesday morning, Dry over the remainder.Mild to warm in the south grading to hot to very hot inland, becoming cooler throughout during the period. Moderate northerly winds in the northeast with south to southeasterly winds elsewhere extending throughout on Monday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Thursday.Product IDS10033
