Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 17/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1022 hPa south of the Bight will move slowly east to be centred over the Tasman Sea by Thursday. A trough of low pressure will develop over far western parts of the State on Friday then move east on Sunday and Monday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayFine apart from the slight chance of showers and thunderstorms over the pastoral districts, contracting to the North East Pastoral during the evening. Mild about southern coasts grading to hot in the far north. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds and fresh coastal sea breezes, tending moderate to fresh southeasterly in the evening.Wednesday 18 FebruaryFine apart from the chance of showers and thunderstorms north of about Coober Pedy to Leigh Creek to Broken Hill, more likely over the North East Pastoral. Mild about southern coasts grading to hot in the far north. Light to moderate southeasterly winds, fresh afternoon sea breezes.Thursday 19 FebruaryFine apart from the slight chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the North East Pastoral. Warm about southern coasts, hot over the remainder. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds and afternoon sea breezes.Friday 20 FebruaryDry apart from the slight chance of showers and thunderstorms over North East Pastoral district south of Moomba. Hot with light to moderate northerly winds, freshening in the west. Moderate afternoon coastal sea breezes.Saturday 21 February
Hot to very hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a milder southerly change in the far west. Slight chance of afternoon showers over the West Coast, Eyre Peninsula and eastern border districts south of about Lameroo.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Saturday are expected to be less than 1 mm, with the chance of isolated falls of 1 to 5 mm over the North East Pastoral associated with thunderstorms.
Sunday until TuesdayDry and hot to very hot ahead of a milder southerly change extending east during the period. Slight chance of showers developing over the agricultural area and far south of the pastoral districts, contracting to western and southern coasts by Tuesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Wednesday.Product IDS10033
