MELBOURNE - Feb 15/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A slow-moving, strong high pressure system near New Zealand extends a ridge to northeastern New South Wales and is directing moist easterly winds into a low pressure trough over the inland parts promoting unsettled conditions in most of the districts. Over the next few days a little change in the synoptic pattern is expected. Forecast for the rest of MondayPartly cloudy in the northeastern inland and near the central coast. Slight chnac4e of showers on the north coast and ranges, Slight chance of showers elsewhere with the chance of thunderstorms increasing to medium to high chance in in the far southeast. Hot in the west. Southeast to northeasterly winds, tending south to southwesterly in the south.Fire Danger - Very High: Southern Riverina, North Western.Tuesday 17 FebruaryMedium chance of showers and thunderstorms in the southwestern half. Partly cloudy in the northeast with medium chance of showers on the north coast and adjacent ranges.
