Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 15/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure over the northern agricultural area late Sunday afternoon will move northeastwards to reach a line near Coober Pedy to Broken Hill late evening. A high will develop to the south of the Bight on Monday, and then move slowly east to be centred over the Tasman sea on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayMilder conditions and moderate southwest to southeasterly winds over the agricultural area extending into the Flinders and south of the Pastoral districts this evening. Remaining hot further north with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds. The slight chance of showers and thunderstorms over the agricultural area, West Coast district and south of the Pastoral and Flinders districts.Monday 16 FebruaryThe slight chance of showers and thunderstorms over the Flinders and Pastoral districts south of about Coober Pedy. Possible early drizzle about far southern coasts. Mild about southern coasts grading to very hot in the far north. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, fresh at times near the coasts.Tuesday 17 FebruaryFine apart from the slight chance of showers and thunderstorms north of about Broken Hill to Nullarbor, chiefly in the afternoon. Possible early drizzle about far southern coasts. Mild about southern coasts grading to hot in the far north. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds, fresh at times near the coasts.Wednesday 18 FebruaryFine apart from the slight chance of showers and thunderstorms north of about Woomera. Mild about southern coasts grading to hot in the far north. Light to moderate southeasterly winds.Thursday 19 February
Fine apart from the slight chance of showers and thunderstorms over the North East Pastoral north of about Yunta and east of about Marree. Warm about southern coasts, hot over the remainder. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Thursday are expected to be less than 1 mm, with the chance of isolated falls of 1 to 5 mm over the North East Pastoral associated with thunderstorms.
Friday until SundayThe slight chance of showers over eastern districts north of about Renmark and over the Flinders Ranges, clearing on Saturday, then fine on Sunday. Mostly hot ahead of a milder southerly change extending over the agricultural area on Saturday. Remaining hot further north.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Monday.Product IDS10033
