Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 13/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high centred over the southern Tasman Sea will move slowly eastwards over the next few days. A change will develop in the far west late on Saturday then move over western and southern districts on Sunday. A new high will develop over the Bight on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayPossible afternoon thundery showers over the Riverland, Murraylands, Upper South East and Lower South East districts, more likely in the southeast. Slight chance of showers developing over Kangaroo Island and the Mt Lofty Ranges. Dry over the remainder. Hot to very hot with mainly moderate northerly winds, freshening during the morning in the west.Saturday 14 FebruaryThe chance of early morning thundery showers about the Upper South East and Lower South East districts. Dry over the remainder. Hot to very hot with moderate to fresh and gusty northerly winds ahead of a milder southerly change developing in the far west during the afternoon and evening.Sunday 15 FebruaryFine apart from the chance of showers over parts of the agricultural area. Possible afternoon thunderstorms developing east of the ranges. Very hot to hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a southerly change in the west, reaching a line from Coober Pedy to Leigh Creek to Broken Hill in the evening.Monday 16 February
The chance of showers about the Flinders Ranges and adjacent areas, otherwise dry. Mild to warm about southern coasts grading to hot to very hot in the north. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Monday are expected to be less than 2 mm, with possible isolated falls of 2 to 5 mm about the eastern border areas.
Tuesday until ThursdayFine apart from the chance of showers about the southern Pastoral districts on Tuesday. Mild to warm in the south and getting warmer later in the period. Remaining hot to very hot in the north.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Friday.Product IDS10033
