MELBOURNE - Feb 12/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high south of the Bight will move steadily eastwards to be over the southern Tasman Sea on Friday. A change will develop in the far west late on Saturday then move over western and southern districts on Sunday. Forecast for the rest of ThursdayAreas of cloud with possible showers developing over parts of the agricultural and pastoral districts north of about Cleve to Adelaide. The chance of afternoon thunderstorms over ranges through the Mid North, Flinders and south of the North East Pastoral districts. Dry over the remainder. Warm to hot about the coasts, very hot inland. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds. Fresh afternoon sea breezes about the coasts.Friday 13 FebruaryPossible thundery showers developing during the afternoon over parts of the Upper and Lower South East districts. Dry over the remainder. Hot to very hot with moderate northerly winds, freshening during the morning in the west.Saturday 14 FebruaryThe chance of early morning showers about the Lower South East district. Dry over the remainder. Hot to very hot with moderate to fresh and gusty northerly winds ahead of a milder southerly change developing in the far west during the afternoon and evening.Sunday 15 February Fine apart from isolated showers and thunderstorms over parts of the agricultural area. Very hot to hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a southerly change in the west, reaching a line from Coober Pedy to Leigh Creek in the evening. Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Sunday are expected to be up 2 mm. Monday until WednesdayThe chance of showers about the Flinders District on Monday, otherwise dry. Mild to warm about southern coasts grading to hot to very hot in the north.
