Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 10/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong high is moving east across the southern Tasman Sea maintaining a ridge along the New South Wales coast, while a low pressure trough lies over the state's west. A cold front will to pass to the south of the state during Wednesday and Thursday as the high moves further east and the ridge weakens. A new high is expected to follow the front, re-establishing a ridge over much of southeastern Australia.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayPartly cloudy in the far west and in the far northeastern inland. Medium chance of showers along the coast and adjacent ranges, increasing to high chance on the north coast, but clearing from the southern and central coasts early in the evening. Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds, tending southerly in the far west.Wednesday 11 FebruaryPartly cloudy in the far west and in the far northeastern inland. Medium chance of showers near the coast and on adjacent ranges increasing to high chance on the north coast. Slight chance of showers elsewhere with the chance of thunderstorms. Hot day in the west.
