Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 9/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1033 hPa over the Tasman Sea is moving eastwards. A new high will move in south of the Bight during Wednesday and move steadily eastwards to be over the southern Tasman Sea on Friday. A weak change will develop in the far west late on Saturday then move over western and southern coastal districts on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayDry apart from early fog patches about southern coasts and ranges. Warm to hot in the south, grading to very hot in the north and west. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, fresh and gusty about the northern Flinders Ranges in the morning. Moderate to fresh afternoon coastal sea breezes.Wednesday 11 FebruaryDry apart from the chance of light drizzle about the Lower South East coast after midday. Warm near southern coasts, grading to very hot in the far north. Moderate southeast winds, fresh and gusty at first about the northern Flinders Ranges, ahead of a moderate to fresh south to southeast change across the west and south.Thursday 12 FebruaryPossible thundery showers developing during the afternoon over parts of the Flinders, Mid North, Riverland and North East Pastoral districts. Dry over the remainder. Warm to hot about the coasts, very hot inland. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds. Fresh afternoon sea breezes about the coasts.Friday 13 February
Possible thundery showers developing during the afternoon over parts of the Murray, Upper and Lower South East districts. Dry over the remainder. Hot to very hot with moderate northerly winds, freshening during the morning in the west.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Friday are expected to be insignificant.
Saturday until MondayDry and very hot with moderate to fresh and gusty northerly winds on Saturday. Possible thundery showers developing over parts of the agricultural area, Flinders and south of the pastorals on Sunday and Monday. Milder southerly winds developing in the far west on Saturday then extending across western and southern coasts on Sunday and Monday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Tuesday.Product IDS10033
