MELBOURNE - Feb 9/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high 1030 hPa near Tasmania will move east to be over the Tasman Sea on Tuesday. A new high will move in south of the Bight during Wednesday. A weak change will develop in the far west late on Saturday then move over western and southern coastal districts on Sunday. Forecast for the rest of MondayA fine and mild to warm evening. Moderate southeasterly winds and fresh afternoon coastal sea breezes.Tuesday 10 FebruaryDry. Warm to hot in the south, grading to very hot in the north and west. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, fresh to strong about the northern Flinders Ranges in the morning.Wednesday 11 FebruaryDry apart from the chance of light drizzle about the Lower South East coast after midday. Warm near southern coasts, grading to very hot in the far north. Moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, becoming fresh southeasterly about the coasts and southern ranges during the afternoon.Thursday 12 FebruaryPossible thundery showers developing during the afternoon over parts of the Flinders, Mid North, Riverland and North East Pastoral districts. Dry over the remainder. Warm to hot about the coasts, very hot inland. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds. Fresh afternoon sea breezes about the coasts.Friday 13 February Possible thundery showers developing during the afternoon over parts of the Murray, Upper and Lower South East districts. Dry over the remainder. Hot to very hot with moderate northerly winds, freshening during the morning in the west. Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Friday are expected to be insignificant. Saturday until MondayDry and very hot with moderate to fresh and gusty northerly winds on Saturday. Possible thundery showers developing over parts of the agricultural area, Flinders and south of the pastorals on Sunday and Monday.
